Adil Zainulbhai Concludes Tenure as Independent Director of L&T

Adil Zainulbhai, an Independent Director of Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), completed his tenure as a Director of the company on May 28, 2024.

Zainulbhai became a member of L&T’s Board in May 2014. He currently holds the position of Chairman at the Quality Council of India, Network 18, and TV18. Additionally, he holds directorship positions on the boards of Reliance Industries, Cipla, Reliance Retail Ventures, and Reliance Jio Infocomm. As Chairman of QCI, Zainulbhai actively engages in various Government of India Committees and has played a pivotal role in significant initiatives such as ‘Make in India’, ‘Startup India’, and ‘Swachh Bharat’, among others. With a distinguished career, he retired as Chairman of McKinsey India after serving the firm for 34 years, spending the last decade in India. Prior to his tenure in India, he spearheaded operations at McKinsey’s Washington office and established the Minneapolis office. Notably, he co-edited the book ‘Reimagining India’, which soared to No. 1 in non-fiction in India upon release and secured the No. 2 spot on Amazon’s International Business List in the US. Zainulbhai holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Furthermore, he actively contributes to the Boards of the Piramal Foundation and the Samshiksha Foundation.
