ABB India Appoints Kapil Agarwal as Business Head, Process Automation

The Board of Directors of ABB India Limited has approved the appointment of Kapil Agarwal as Process Automation Process Industries India Business Head and PAPI Metals SAMA Cluster Business Leader with effect from March 5, 2024. The Board of Directors also approved the reappointment of Gopika Pant as an Independent Director, for a second term of three years, with effect from April 27, 2024. Subject to shareholders’ approval.

Kapil Agarwal has more than 28 years of experience leading teams in the fields of Business Development (Minerals, Metals and Mining), Operations and Project Management, with a career spanning pan-India and international businesses (SEA, ME, and Africa). Agarwal is currently associated with Schneider Electric India, Mumbai, as Head of Business Development and Operations. He has also worked with conglomerates like L&T and Tata Steel in different roles. He has a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from H.B.T.I., Kanpur, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Law from NUJS, Kolkata.

Gopika Pant has more than 38 years of legal experience and is dual-qualified in India and in the State of New York, USA. Pant has significant experience in Indian corporate and commercial laws, including cross-border commercial transactions (mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and business alliances), private equity investments and exits, information technology, banking and finance, matters relating to non-banking finance companies, corporate restructurings, real property transactions, foreign investments into and outbound investments from India, and intellectual property law.
