Aashish Kamat & Brinda Jagirdar Reappointed as Independent Directors of IDFC First Bank

The Board of Directors of IDFC First Bank has approved the reappointment of Aashish Kamat and Dr. Brinda Jagirdar as Independent Directors of the bank with effect from December 18, 2023, for a period of 3 years. Subject to the approval of shareholders.

The board has approved the reappointment of Dr. Brinda Jagirdar as an Independent Director of the bank. Jagirdar has been serving as an Independent Director of the erstwhile Capital First Limited since September 2014, before it was merged with the IDFC Bank. She stayed on the board of the renamed entity, IDFC First Bank, after the merger. Her first 5-year term as an Independent Director at IDFC FIRST Bank will end on December 17, 2023.

Hemang Raja, who has been an Independent Director since February 2013, first at Capital First Limited and then at IDFC First Bank after the merger, is discontinuing his service. His initial 5-year term at IDFC FIRST Bank ends on December 17, 2023. Since he’s been serving for almost 10 years, he’s requested to retire at the end of his current term.
