A Fintech Repository Will Be Established By April 2024, According To The RBI

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) declared on December 8 its plan to establish a fintech repository by April 2024.

RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das stated, “We encourage fintechs to provide relevant information voluntarily to this repository.”

RBI Deputy Governor M. Rajeshwar Rao emphasised on November 23 that Indian regulators should consistently strive to revise regulations and the regulatory framework to facilitate innovations within the fintech industry.

At the banking conference, Rao said, “The Indian fintech space needs regulations and a regulatory framework to innovate further. We also need to continuously work to redefine regulations and regulatory frameworks to support these innovations and delivery.”
