Bengaluru Set to Host the Finale of Board Stewardship’s Bumper Huddle Series
Following successful editions in Mumbai and Delhi, the Board Stewardship Bumper Huddle series will conclude in Bengaluru with an evening centred on purpose, profitability, leadership and the evolving responsibilities of the boardroom. The Board Stewardship Huddle – Bengaluru, themed ‘Stewardship in Boardrooms’, will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at JW Marriott Hotel, Bengaluru.
The Bengaluru edition will bring together directors, senior executives and business leaders for a series of conversations spanning purpose-led business, stakeholder value and leadership development. Steward Leadership Institute (SLI), Singapore, is the Principal Partner, BoardPAC is the Knowledge Partner, while Search Value and Crossmentors are the Gold Partners.
The programme will begin with Registration and High Tea, followed by the Welcome Address by Vikesh Wallia, Managing Director & Editor, Board Stewardship. His address will set the context for the evening and the larger conversation around stewardship and boardroom leadership.
This will be followed by the Inaugural Address by Emmanuel David, Former Director, Tata Training Centre, Pune and Advisory Board Member, Board Stewardship, providing an opening perspective on the themes that will shape the evening.
The first substantive segment will focus on the relationship between organisational purpose and business performance. The programme will feature the Book Release & Reading of ‘MAXIMUM PURPOSE, MAXIMUM PROFIT’ by Rajeev Peshawaria, CEO, Steward Leadership Institute, Singapore, followed by a Spotlight Session with Peshawaria. The session will explore the intersection of purpose and profitability, with emphasis on how organisations can approach both as complementary priorities. Peshawaria has been highlighting the need for businesses to connect their purpose with the way they create value and deliver performance.
The theme will be taken forward through the Panel Discussion ‘MAXIMUM PURPOSE, MAXIMUM PROFIT’, featuring Sunil Puri, Senior Vice President, Research & Engagement, Steward Leadership Institute, Singapore; Rajeev Peshawaria, CEO, Steward Leadership Institute, Singapore; and Saraswathi Ramachandran, MD & Country Head, Lightcast. The conversation will look at how purpose can influence decision-making, organisational priorities and long-term value creation. Puri has been underlining the broader responsibility of boards towards stakeholders and the value created by businesses.
Following a Coffee Break, the focus will shift towards leadership development with the panel discussion ‘Cross Mentoring – Leadership Imperative For The Future’. The session will feature Krish Shankar, Independent Director, Indira IVF Hospital Ltd. and Former CHRO, Infosys; Divya Kumar, Board Director & Author, ‘CFO AI Compass’; JV Raman, Operating Advisor, Multiples Alternate Asset Management and Non-Executive Director, Kwality Walls (India) Ltd.; and PR Somasundaram, Former CEO, Laxmi Vilas Bank & CEO, World Gold Council, Independent Director and Advisor.
The discussion will examine how cross-mentoring can strengthen leadership development by facilitating the exchange of experience, expertise and perspectives across functions and generations. It will also consider the changing capabilities required of leaders as organisations navigate increasingly complex business environments.
The formal programme will conclude with BS Member Felicitation, followed by professional socialising over cocktails and dinner, allowing participants to continue conversations beyond the formal sessions.
The Bengaluru Huddle will mark the culmination of Board Stewardship’s Bumper Huddle series across Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, bringing together the key themes explored through the three-city programme.
