Tamilnadu Petroproducts Appoints D. Karthikeyan As Board Chairperson

Tamilnadu Petroproducts Limited has appointed Dr. D. Karthikeyan, IAS, as an Additional Director under the non-executive category and Chairperson of the Board, effective September 30, 2026.

Karthikeyan, a 1997-batch IAS officer, has held several senior positions in the Tamil Nadu government. He currently serves as Principal Secretary/Chairman and Managing Director of the Tamilnadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), the company’s promoter. During his tenure as Commissioner of the Coimbatore Corporation, Karthikeyan received two national awards for initiatives focused on e-governance. He was also recognised as “Best Collector” during his tenure in Erode for his work in rural development and the welfare of persons with disabilities. He has served as Commissioner of the Greater Chennai Corporation on three occasions.

His appointment is as a director nominated by TIDCO. The company said shareholder approval will be obtained in accordance with applicable listing regulations. Karthikeyan is not related to any other director of the company and is not debarred from holding a directorship by SEBI or any other authority.
