Board Stewardship Brings Industry Leaders Together For Boardroom Insights Webinar On Energy & ESG
Board Stewardship is set to host the August 2026 edition of its Monthly Live Webinar Series ‘Boardroom Insights’ on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM IST. The session will bring together accomplished business leaders, governance experts, and sustainability professionals to discuss some of the most pressing issues shaping boardroom conversations today. Designed as a knowledge-sharing platform for board members, Independent Directors, senior executives and governance professionals, the webinar aims to encourage informed discussions on leadership, sustainability and corporate stewardship.
The webinar will commence with a Welcome Address by Vikesh Wallia, Managing Director & Editor, Board Stewardship, followed by the Inaugural Address by Shailesh Haribhakti, Board Icon of India and Chairman of the Advisory Board, Board Stewardship. The Keynote Address will be delivered by Dr. Atul Arya, Senior Vice President & Chief Energy Strategist at S&P Global (Boston, USA), who will share insights on the rapidly evolving global energy landscape and its implications for businesses and boardrooms.
The first Panel Discussion, ‘Global Energy Crisis: Fuel for Thought – Challenge or Opportunity?’, will feature Vikesh Wallia; Gauri Jauhar, Executive Director – Strategic Energy & Climate Initiatives at S&P Global; and Akhil Mehrotra, Managing Director, Pipeline Infrastructure Limited. The discussion will examine how organisations and Boards can navigate energy security, climate commitments and the transition towards a resilient energy future.
The second panel discussion, ‘Net Zero: Where Zero is the Winner,’ will bring together Arun Om Lal, Retired President (Corporate Affairs & Communications) at Hexagon Nutrition Limited and Senior Advisor & Independent Director; Tanish Shewani, Founder & CEO of Bharat Carbon; and Ashok Sethi, Ex-Chairman of TCE, Ex-COO & Executive Director of Tata Power, Senior ESG Consultant at IICA and Partner at Sustain Edge ESG. The panellists will explore pathways towards net-zero emissions, the growing importance of ESG and the role of corporate boards in driving sustainable business practices.
The webinar will conclude with an interactive Q&A session on the Independent Directorship Journey, led by Vikesh Wallia, offering participants an opportunity to engage directly with governance-related issues and boardroom best practices.
