Prof. (Dr.) Surabhi Banerjee Reappointed As Independent Director At Khadim India, Sekhar Bhattacharjee Joins Board

Prof. (Dr.) Surabhi Banerjee has been reappointed as an Independent Director of Khadim India Limited post attaining the age of 75 years, for the remaining tenure, i.e., till May 24, 2027, subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Sekhar Bhattacharjee has been appointed as an Independent Director (Additional Director) of the company, with effect from July 2, 2026, subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Prof. (Dr.) Surabhi Banerjee served as the founding Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Odisha and the University of Gour Banga, and later as Vice-Chancellor of Netaji Subhas Open University. She also held the position of Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs) at the University of Calcutta. She is an academician with over 38 years of experience in higher education, including 13 years in university leadership. Banerjee holds an M.A. from the University of Calcutta and the University of Leeds, a Ph.D. from the University of Calcutta, and is a recipient of the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award 2007.

Sekhar Bhattacharjee has previously worked with the Tractors India Group, ABB, and Alstom. He has more than 35 years of experience in compliance, Corporate Governance, and legal affairs across multinational and large corporate organisations. During his career, he has handled mergers and amalgamations, initial public offerings, rights issues, and private placements of shares, besides regulatory matters involving audits, investigations, and enforcement agencies. Bhattacharjee is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and holds a bachelor’s degree in science. He has also conducted corporate training programmes on contract negotiation with a focus on project contracts.
