Ling Hai Succeeds Sachin Mehra As CFO Of Mastercard; Mehra Transitioned To Chief Business Officer’s Role

Mastercard has appointed Ling Hai as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective August 3, 2026. He will succeed Sachin Mehra, who will take on the newly created role of Chief Business Officer (CBO) as part of a management restructuring.

In another leadership change, Linda Kirkpatrick, currently President of the Americas, will become Chief Services Officer (CSO), succeeding Craig Vosburg.

Ling Hai, a long-time executive at Mastercard, has led the company’s operations across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Since joining Mastercard in 2010, he has held several leadership positions, including Division President for Greater China, President of Enterprise Partnerships in London, Co-President of Asia Pacific, and Co-President of International Markets. Before Mastercard, he worked with Booz Allen Hamilton, A.T. Kearney, Bank of America, and HSBC. He serves on the Boards of several corporate and non-profit organisations, including Cuscal Limited and the National Committee on US-China Relations. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Mehra, who has served as CFO since 2019, will oversee global country operations, sales enablement, partnerships, and digital commercialisation. During his tenure at Mastercard, he has held positions spanning treasury, regional business finance, and commercial products, where he played a role in developing the company’s B2B payments strategy and expanding customer relationships. Before joining Mastercard, he held finance and treasury roles at Hess Corporation, General Motors, and GMAC across the US, Europe, and Asia. Mehra also serves on the Board of Salesforce and holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. He earned a commerce degree from Sydenham College, University of Mumbai.
