Ashwani Kumar Concludes His Tenure As CEO & MD Of UCO Bank

UCO Bank Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) Ashwani Kumar ceased to hold office effective May 31, 2026, following the completion of his three-year tenure.

Kumar has served as General Manager overseeing mid-corporate and large corporate business segments, as well as Zonal Manager across multiple regions. He has also held the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He has more than two decades of experience in the banking sector and has held leadership roles across several public sector banks, including Bank of Baroda, Corporation Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank (PNB), and Indian Bank. Kumar has completed executive programmes at institutions including IIMs and CAFRAL, along with leadership, board governance, IT, and cybersecurity certification programmes conducted by industry and regulatory bodies. He is a Chartered Accountant, a postgraduate in commerce, and a certified member of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.
