Partha Satpathy Appointed As Independent Director Of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys

Partha Satpathy has been appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Director (Additional Director) on the Board of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited, from the date of obtaining security clearance from the office of the Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India, subject to approval of the shareholders.

Satpathy is a former Ambassador and career diplomat of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) under the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) India. He served in diplomatic roles for over 35 years, including around 15 years at ambassadorial level, before retiring in 2025. He has held postings across Latin America, Africa, Europe and CIS regions, along with assignments at the United Nations and its specialised agencies such as World Health Organisation (WHO), International Labour Organisation, World Intellectual Property Organisation and others. He served as Ambassador of India to Ukraine, Hungary and Bosnia & Herzegovina, and to several West African nations. Earlier roles include postings in Moscow, Geneva and Brasília. His work has focused on governance, negotiations, crisis management, risk mitigation and international cooperation. Since retirement, he is engaged in board advisory and non-executive roles with multinational organisations, with focus areas including governance, sustainability, public health and international relations.
