Kabir Ahmed Shakir Joins Delhivery Board As Independent Director; Romesh Sobti To Step Down

Kabir Ahmed Shakir has been appointed a Non-Executive Independent Director (Additional Director) of Delhivery Limited, with effect from May 16, 2026, subject to the approval of shareholders.

Meanwhile, Romesh Sobti has resigned as an Independent Director of the company with effect from June 30, 2026.

Shakir is a finance and business executive with more than 35 years of experience across the consumer, technology, and telecommunications sectors. Most recently, he served as Global Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Tata Communications, where the company received the Turnaround Company of the Year recognition from Forbes in March 2023. Earlier, he worked as CFO of Microsoft India and spent 23 years with Unilever in finance leadership roles across India and the UK. Shakir has received CFO recognition from Businessworld, Confederation of Indian Industry, and The Economic Times. He is an alumnus of Bharathidasan Institute of Management.

Sobti was previously associated with IndusInd Bank as CEO & Managing Director (MD), where he led the bank’s operations and business functions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Jabalpur University and a diploma in corporate laws and secretarial practice from the Indian Law Institute.
