P. Ramakrishnan To Replace R. Shankar Raman As CFO Of L&T

P. Ramakrishnan has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel (CFO & KMP) of Larsen & Toubro Limited, with effect from July 1, 2026. He will replace R. Shankar Raman, who will cease to be CFO effective June 30, 2026, and will continue as President and Whole-Time Director of Finance.

The Board also approved the appointment of Vijay Sankar as Non-Executive Independent Director, starting May 27, 2026, subject to shareholder approval. Further, Pramit Jhaveri has been reappointed as Non-Executive Independent Director, beginning April 1, 2027, also subject to shareholder approval.

Ramakrishnan currently serves as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Corporate Accounts, Taxation, and Investor Relations at L&T. He earlier served as CFO of L&T Technology Services, a listed subsidiary of L&T, and before that was Finance and Accounts Head for the Electronics and Automation division. He also holds Board positions in several L&T group companies and is a Board Member of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Ramakrishnan has over three decades of experience within the L&T group, covering accounting, finance, treasury, risk management, internal controls, investor relations, and group taxation, as well as oversight of shared services functions.

Raman joined L&T in 1994 to set up L&T Finance Ltd. and later took on responsibilities across group finance, including risk management and investor relations. He was appointed CFO of L&T in September 2011 and inducted to the Board in October 2011. He has also been part of the management boards of multiple L&T group companies. He served as Chairman of the CFO committee at Confederation of Indian Industry and was a member of a Corporate Governance committee set up by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Raman has received recognition in finance leadership, including awards from Institutional Investor Magazine, CNBC TV18, Financial Express, Business Today, and Yes Bank. He is a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant with over three decades of experience in finance across listed companies.

Jhaveri is a Senior Advisor to Premji Invest and PJT Partners, and serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of Bajaj Finance Ltd., Bajaj Finserv Ltd., and Larsen & Toubro Ltd. He previously served as Vice Chairman of Banking, Asia Pacific at Citi and was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Citibank India from 2010 to 2019. Jhaveri retired from Citi in 2019 after over three decades in banking, having joined in 1987. He is also associated with non-profit organisations, including Pratham Education Foundation and World Monuments Fund India. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Sydenham College and an MBA from the University of Rochester.

Sankar is the Chairman of The Sanmar Group, a Chennai-based group with operations in chemicals, engineering, and shipping, and manufacturing presence in India and overseas. He serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of TVS Motor Company Ltd., Oriental Hotels Ltd., Kaveri Retreats & Resorts Ltd., and Transport Corporation of India Ltd. He is also associated with institutions, including the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association and Sankara Nethralaya. He serves as Honorary Consul General of Denmark in Chennai. Sankar is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
