Pramit Jhaveri To Continue As Independent Director Of Bajaj Finance For Another 5-Year Term; Rajiv Bajaj Retires

Bajaj Finance Limited has approved the reappointment of Pramit Jhaveri as a Non-Executive Independent Director for a second term of five years, effective August 1, 2026, subject to shareholder approval.

Meanwhile, Rajiv Bajaj retires as Non-Executive Director of the company.

Jhaveri also serves as an Advisor to Startups, corporates, and family offices at Bajaj Finserv. He spent over three decades at Citibank, where he was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of India from 2010 to 2019 and later Vice Chairman for Banking, Asia Pacific. He is associated with Premji Invest and PJT Partners in advisory roles. He is a Trustee with organisations including Tata Trusts, Pratham Education Foundation, India Foundation for the Arts, and World Monuments Fund India. He is a Board Member at multiple firms, including Larsen & Toubro Ltd. Jhaveri holds a degree in commerce from Sydenham College and an MBA from the Simon Business School.

Bajaj is the Managing Director (MD) of Bajaj Auto Ltd., based in Pune. He has worked across manufacturing, supply chain, research and development, and sales functions at Bajaj Auto since 1990. He joined the Board in 2002 and has served as MD since 2005. His roles include positions at Bajaj Holdings & Investment Ltd., and other group entities, along with involvement in non-profit organisations. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pune and a master’s degree in manufacturing systems engineering from the University of Warwick.
