Sandeep Mandrekar Resigns As CBO Of Wheels From Mahindra & Mahindra Finserv; Krishna K.S. Nair Joins As Non-Independent Director

Sandeep Mandrekar has resigned as Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Wheels and Senior Management Personnel (SMP) of Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited, moving outside of full-time employment to pursue personal and professional interests, effective April 24, 2026.

Further, Krishna Kumar Sukumaran Nair has been appointed as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director (Additional Director) of the company w.e.f. June 23, 2026.

Meanwhile, Shantanu Padhye, Nitesh Rawal, Chanpreet Singh, and Pravin Kulkarni have been appointed as Senior Management Personnel (SMPs), with Padhye serving as Head of Collections, Rawal as Business Head for new & used Car Loans and Commercial Vehicle Loans, Singh as Business Head of the Swaraj division, and Kulkarni as Business Head of the Farm division.

Mandrekar was previously the Head of Sales at Volkswagen India from 2008 to 2012 and served as Zonal Head for the North Region at Mahindra Finance between 2005 and 2008. He began his career at Saud Bahwan Automotive in the Lexus division, where he led sales from 1998 to 2005. He is a professional with over 25 years of experience in automotive finance and sales. He worked at Mahindra Finance from 2012 to 2023 in leadership roles, including Business Head for Vehicle and Car Finance.

Nair is a financial services professional with over 36 years of experience in insurance and governance roles. He serves as Executive Director for Corporate Governance and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) at Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India and is a key managerial personnel designated by the company Board. He joined LIC in 1989 as a direct recruit officer and has worked across administrative and business functions. He is a Board Member of Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services. He holds a B.Tech degree and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India. He also has diplomas in life insurance underwriting and health insurance, along with executive education from institutes including the Indian Institute of Management and the Indian School of Business.

Padhye is a senior business leader with 34 years of experience across the automobile and financial services sectors. He has worked with Mahindra Finance in leadership roles and has also been associated with Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors earlier in his career before joining Mahindra Finance.

Rawal is a senior leader with over 25 years of experience in financial services. He currently heads the car loans business and has worked across field and head office roles focused on business growth, network management, and team leadership. He has led multiple transformation initiatives covering customer experience, retention, employee efficiency, asset quality, cross-selling, branch optimisation, and process digitisation.

Singh is a banking and non-banking financial services professional with over 20 years of experience, including work in rural and semi-urban banking. He has managed large portfolios and has been involved in setting up and scaling new business lines across regulated financial institutions. He has led transformation initiatives for geographically distributed teams and has handled end-to-end profit and loss responsibilities.

Kulkarni is a financial services professional with over 23 years of experience across banks, non-banking financial companies, and credit bureaus. He has worked on rural banking products and business lines within banking institutions. He has also led financial inclusion initiatives at a credit bureau, focusing on expanding access to credit-related services. His experience spans product development, rural finance operations, and credit information services within regulated financial systems.
