
Rohini Rawat & Ram Nihal Nishad Step Down As IREDA Independent Directors After Tenure Ends
Rohini Rawat and Ram Nihal Nishad have retired as Independent Directors of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), effective March 5, 2026, upon completion of their terms.
Rawat served as Chairperson of the Municipal Council of Joshimath from 2013 to 2018. During her tenure, the council received the first prize for its work in solid waste management from the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand in 2017. Earlier, she was a member of the Uttarakhand State Women Commission from 2004 to 2007. She is engaged in social work and community initiatives. Her work has focused on local governance, community engagement, and initiatives related to public services. Rawat holds a postgraduate degree in Economics (M.A.) from Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
Nishad holds bachelor’s degrees in Law and Commerce. He works as a lawyer and is a member of the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh. Along with his legal practice, he is involved in social work. He conducts yoga camps in several districts of Uttar Pradesh and takes part in public awareness activities related to health.
