Jayant Dua Appointed As Managing Director Of UltraTech Cement

UltraTech Cement has appointed Jayant Dua as Managing Director (MD), effective April 1, 2026, and he will be designated as a Senior Management Personnel of the company from the same date.

The Board has also approved his appointment as Additional Director, MD, and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP), effective January 1, 2027, following the completion of the tenure of the current MD, K.C. Jhanwar, on December 31, 2026.

Dua is an executive with over 37 years of professional experience. He joined the Aditya Birla Group’s cement business in 1996 and spent three decades in functional and leadership roles. Over the past two decades, he has handled profit-and-loss and chief executive responsibilities across group businesses, including insulators, insurance, Century Cement, and the chlor-alkali segment. In 2023, he was assigned to lead the group’s renewables and textiles businesses. Within the group, he has received recognitions including the Chairman’s Individual Award in the Exceptional Contribution category in 2002, the Outstanding Leader award in 2009, and the Leader of Leaders recognition in 2022. Dua holds an engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, an MBA from International Management Institute, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
