Sudarshan Venu To Succeed Prof Ralf Speth As Chairman Of TVS Motor

TVS Motor Company has announced the appointment of Sudarshan Venu as its Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), effective August 25, 2025.

Venu, currently serving as Managing Director, will succeed Professor Ralf Speth, who will step down from the Board after the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 22.

Venu is the MD of TVS Holdings Limited and Chairman of TVS Credit Services Limited. His father, Venu Srinivasan, is the Chairman Emeritus of TVS Motors. He has led TVS Motor’s international expansion across Africa, ASEAN, and Latin America. Under his leadership, the company has increased market share and received industry recognition. He was named a GenNext leader by Forbes India. Venu holds a graduate degree with honours from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania. He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering and a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School. He completed his M.Sc. in International Technology Management from the Warwick Manufacturing Group, University of Warwick.
