BofA Appoints Mandar Donde As India Investment Banking Head

Bank of America (BofA) has appointed Mandar Donde as the head of global corporate and investment banking (GCIB) in India, effective April 1, 2024.

Donde, currently the head of Telecoms, Media, and Technology (TMT) investment banking in Asia Pacific, will relocate to Mumbai to assume the new role. He will also serve as the Chair of TMT investment banking in Asia Pacific. Raj Balakrishnan, co-head of India investment banking, will be named Vice Chair of GCIB. This reshuffle follows the departure of three senior dealmakers in 2023. India’s equity capital market volumes surpassed USD 70 billion in 2024, positioning it as the world’s second-largest ECM deal hub. BofA declined to comment on the leadership changes.
