Sanofi Appoints Jean-Paul Kress As Independent Director

Sanofi has announced the appointment of Jean-Paul Kress, M.D., as an Independent Director to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2025. He will succeed Gilles Schnepp, who will step down at the end of 2024. The appointment is subject to ratification at Sanofi’s next shareholders’ meeting.

Kress, with over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, has previously served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MorphoSys and Syntimmune and held senior positions at various pharmaceutical companies. He will join the Strategy Committee and the Scientific Committee of Sanofi’s Board. Frédéric Oudéa, Chairman of the Board, expressed gratitude to Schnepp and welcomed Kress for his expertise.
