IICA Signs MOUs To Enhance Corporate Governance Through IDDB Access

The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) has partnered with six executive search firms, including Korn Ferry, ABC Consultants, and EMA Partners, to grant access to its Independent Director Databank (IDDB).

The databank, a repository of information on 32,000 professionals eligible to serve as Independent Directors, is mandated under corporate law. IICA Director General Ajay Bhushan Prasad Pandey emphasised that this collaboration supports corporate governance by ensuring companies can identify skilled professionals for Board positions. Niraj Gupta, Head of IICA’s School of Corporate Governance, highlighted the partnership’s role in enhancing accountability and board effectiveness. For economic stability and foreign investment, the program seeks to strengthen governance procedures and uphold confidence in corporate structures.
