S&P Global Names Eric Aboaf As CFO

On October 15, S&P Global announced the appointment of Erich Aboaf as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective February 2025. Aboaf will lead the company’s finance function and report to Martine L. Cheung, who will assume the role of President and CEO starting November 1, 2024.

Eric has served as CFO for several publicly traded companies. He joins S&P Global from State Street Corporation, where he has served as CFO for nearly eight years and Vice Chairman since 2022. Before joining State Street, he was CFO at Citizens Financial Group. He also spent 12 years in senior financial roles at Citigroup. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Bain & Company, co-leading its U.S. financial services consulting practice.

He holds a summa cum laude degree from The Wharton School, a master’s from MIT, and serves as Board Chair of the New York City Urban Debate League.
