Girija Balakrishnan Joins Hercules Hoists as Independent Director

Hercules Hoists Limited has welcomed Girija Balakrishnan as an Additional and Independent Director for a five-year term, starting May 27, 2024. Concurrently, the reappointment of Hariprasad Anandkishore Nevatia as Whole-time Director has been approved for two years, commencing November 22, 2024, pending shareholder approval.

Additionally, the Board noted the resignation of Vivek Ashwin Maru, Company Secretary, and Key Managerial Personnel, effective June 16, 2024, citing personal reasons.

Girija Balakrishnan, a graduate of the esteemed National Law School of India University, began her career at Malvi Ranchoddas & Co. as an associate, eventually rising to become a partner. She is a member of the Bar Council of Karnataka and currently leads the general corporate and commercial advisory practice at Malvi Ranchoddas & Co. Balakrishnan’s advisory expertise spans various sectors, including Chemical, Automotive, Multiplex, Retail, Industrial, Power, Hospitality, Advertising, Technology, Real Estate, and Insurance. She has extensive experience advising family-owned businesses on matters such as family settlements. Outside of her professional commitments, she actively participates in addressing social issues through NGOs and nonprofit organizations. Balakrishnan also serves on the Boards of Directors of INOX India, GFL, and Lingamaneni Land Marks Developers Private Limited.
