Sundaram Finance’s Independent Director S. Mahalingam Retired

S. Mahalingam, Independent Director of Sundaram Finance Limited, completed his term on May 25, 2024.

Mahalingam is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He started his career with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in 1970. Over his 42-year tenure, he contributed significantly to various aspects of TCS and became the CFO in 2003 and Executive Director in 2007. He retired in February 2013. He served as the Non-Executive Chairman of Tata Realty and Infrastructure and City Union Bank. Currently, he is on the Boards of Sundaram Finance, Lucas TVS, Kasturi & Sons (and its subsidiary THG Publishing Pvt Ltd), TVS Supply Chain Solutions, JSW Steel, and Sundaram Fasteners. He is the Vice President of the Society for Rehabilitation of Crippled Children (SRCC), Chairman of Vidya Bharathi Trust, and a Board member for IIT Madras Research Park, IIITM-K, CSI Publications, and the Executive Committee of KREA University. He has previously served as Chairman of the Southern Region of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), President of the Computer Society of India, and President of the Institute of Management Consultants of India. He has been recognised as the best CFO by Business Today, International Market Assessment (IMA), CNBC TV18, CFO Innovation, FinanceAsia, and Institutional Investors.
