Priya Nair Appointed as President of beauty & wellbeing of Unilever

Priya Nair, currently Chief Marketing Officer, Beauty & Wellbeing, has been appointed President of Beauty & Wellbeing with effect from January 1, 2024. She will replace Fernando Fernandez, who has now been named as the new Chief Financial Officer.

Priya Nair, 48, is the Executive Director of Beauty and Personal Care for HUL and the Vice President of Beauty and Personal Care for Unilever South Asia, responsible for the Beauty and Personal Care business in the countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. In her previous role as Executive Director, Home Care, the organisation grew by double digits and margins rose, resulting in significant value creation for Unilever over the last five years. She has led HUL’s sustainability initiatives, with a particular emphasis on the company’s WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) programme, reaching over 152 million people with a sanitation and hygiene intervention under the ‘Swachh Aadat Swachh Bharat’ initiative, educating consumers to adopt three clean habits: washing hands with soap, drinking clean, purified water, and utilising toilet paper.
