RBL Chief Operating Officer Pankaj Sharma Resigns

RBL bank limited announced the resignation of Chief Operating Officer Pankaj Sharma with effect from 20 September 2023. RBL bank appointed Alok Rastogi as Head – Corporate Centre, who will now directly handle the Operations function, apart from other responsibilities.

Pankaj Sharma has over 20 years of experience in banking and financial services industry. Pankaj worked with Axis Bank for around nine years in a variety of roles before joining RBL Bank. Prior to this, he was in charge of the bank’s Lean Six Sigma, Change management, and Process quality programmes. Additionally, he was in charge of the Phone Banking, Branch Automation, and Digital Initiatives. Pankaj has extensive leadership experience in large-scale distributed service delivery, centralised back-office transaction delivery, organization-wide business transformation programmes, and process efficiency through robotics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. He is a recognised authority on the topics of business transformation, operational excellence, and artificial intelligence in both domestic and international venues.

Pankaj possesses a Bachelor of Business Studies from the University of Delhi, is a Certified Master Black Belt, and completed his MBA at Symbiosis in Pune.
