Independent Director Lalita D. Gupte Retires from Godrej Properties

Lalita D. Gupte ceased to be an Independent Director of  Godrej Properties Limited on 2nd August 2023. Senior banker Gupte who completed her tenure also served as a Member of the Audit Committee and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Board. Godrej Property informed the exchanges that Jayashree Vaidyanathan is replacing her as the Non-Executive Independent Director of Godrej Properties Limited on 2nd August 2023.

Lalita Gupte was the Joint Managing Director of ICICI Bank, India’s second-largest commercial bank until 2006. She also served as the Chairperson of ICICI Venture Funds Management Company Limited. Fortune magazine had included her in the list of 50 most powerful women in international business. Lalita serves on the Board of Directors of Nokia and Alstom. An INSEAD alumnus, Lalita also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.

Jayashree Vaidhyanathan is currently the Chief Executive Officer of BCT Digital, a global Fintech, Regtech, and Cleantech company. She serves as an independent director on the Global Board of PwC and is one of the two independent directors on the PwC India Board. She also serves as the Independent Director on the board of UTI Asset Management Company and Indigrid. Vaidhyanathan holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Finance and Strategy from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science from Madras University, India. She is also a CFA charter holder.
