Colgate-Palmolive (India) Appoints Indu Bhushan as Independent Director
Indu Bhushan has been appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Director of Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited on 26 July 2023. Currently, Bhushan serves as a Senior Associate at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He holds the position of Ambassador for the Johns Hopkins Gupta Klinsky India Institute. He acts as an Independent Director on the Boards of Godrej Properties Limited, Apollo Health Co Ltd, Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy and Swasth Digital Health Foundation.
He is a Director of Resolve to save lives India Foundation – Section 8 Company. Additionally, he chairs the NGO Partnership for Impact (P4i).
He is a seasoned professional with nearly 40 years of experience across various sectors. He served for nine years in the Indian Administrative Service till 1995. Subsequently, he worked as a Senior Economist with the World Bank Group before joining the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 1997. During his tenure at ADB, Bhushan held several key positions, including Director General of the East Asia Department and Director General of the Strategy and Policy Department. Bhushan holds a Ph.D. in Health Economics and a Master of Health Sciences from Johns Hopkins University in the USA. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University (IIT BHU) and IIT Delhi, where he completed his B. Tech and Post Graduate Diploma, respectively. Furthermore, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
