Aravind Maiya named the new CEO of Embassy REIT
Aravind Maiya has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Embassy Office Parks REIT. Maiya will take up his position from July 1, 2023, replacing Vikaash Khdloya at the first listed REIT in India and the largest office REIT in Asia by area. Khdloya will step down as CEO on June 30, 2023, to pursue other interests. However, he will work as a Senior Advisor to the REIT until the end of the year. Maiya, who previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Embassy REIT, played a vital role in the company’s growth since its listing. He is currently working as the CFO at Tata Realty. He expressed his excitement about returning to Embassy REIT and leading its next growth phase.
Meanwhile, Khdloya expressed delight in his accomplishments as CEO during his four-year stint and wished Maiya well in his new position. Embassy REIT owns and operates 45 million square feet of office property in India’s main cities, including eight infrastructure-like office parks and four city-centre office towers. Hotels and a solar park are also part of the business.
