Wipro’s COO Amit Choudhary steps down, Sanjeev Jain Takes Over

Wipro Ltd. announced on Friday that its Chief Operating Officer, Amit Choudhary, is stepping down. Sanjeev Jain, currently the Global Head of business operations, has been named his successor with immediate effect. Amit Choudhary’s last working day would be May 31, according to an exchange filing.

This is the second senior executive departure from the company in less than a week. His resignation follows the departure of Anis Chenchah, Wipro’s President of the Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, and Africa (APMEA) region, who stepped down last week.

Both Chenchah and Choudhary were recruited by former CEO Thierry Delaporte, having previously worked together at the French tech giant Capgemini. Choudhary served as COO for Capgemini’s financial services unit, while Chenchah headed its business services unit.

Jain, who joined Wipro in April 2023, currently oversees global business operations, service delivery, information security, and enterprise risk management, working closely with all business units.
