Vinay Razdan Steps Down As HDFC Bank’s HR Chief

Vinay Razdan has resigned as Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) of HDFC Bank effective June 18, 2025. The bank did not disclose any reason for his resignation.

Razdan, who joined the bank in 2018, had previously served as CHRO at Idea Cellular. In his resignation letter dated June 2, Razdan mentioned that he would serve a three-month notice period and would be on ‘gardening leave’ unless informed otherwise by the bank. Gardening leave is a term used when an employee does not attend work during the notice period but continues to receive salary and benefits. The bank has not yet announced a replacement for the role.
