Varun Beverages Ltd. appoints Abhiram Seth and Anil Kumar Sondhi as Non-Executive Independent Directors

Abhiram Seth and Anil Kumar Sondhi have been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Directors at Varun Beverages Ltd. for a term of up to five years effective today. Abhiram Seth holds a degree in Economics from Delhi University and a Masters in Management Studies with a specialisation in marketing from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, Mumbai University. He is currently the Managing Director of Aquagri, an organisation focused on promoting Aqua Agriculture through self-help groups among coastal communities. Mr. Seth initiated his professional journey at Hindustan Lever Limited in 1975, serving in Sales and Marketing. He subsequently transitioned to the MGF group, where he assumed responsibility for overseeing operations related to a particular industrial gas business. From 1993 until 2001, he held the position of Executive Director – Exports and External Affairs at PepsiCo India, where he also drove the sustainability agenda and external affairs. Anil Kumar Sondhi is a B.Tech graduate from IIT Delhi and holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. With over 45 years of experience in the areas of Projects, Manufacturing, and Technical Operations of process industry, he has worked in various leadership positions at companies such as PepsiCo India Holdings Pvt. Ltd., NourishCo Beverages Pvt. Ltd. (Tata PepsiCo JV), and Safe Water Network. Earlier in his career, he worked on manufacturing and projects for heavy chemicals like Acids, Oleums, Caustic Soda, Chlorine, Edible oils, fats, and Calcium carbide with Shriram Industrial Enterprises Limited.
