Varun Beverages Appoints Rohit Vishal Gupta as CHRO and Vishwas Agarwal as COO

The Board of Directors of Varun Beverages Limited has approved the appointment of Rohit Vishal Gupta as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Vishwas Agarwal as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the East and Central regions. These appointments will take effect on November 23, 2023.

Rohit Vishal Gupta has over 23 years of experience in the Human Resources function. After completing his MA in PM and IR from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Gupta joined and worked with ITC for 17 years in multiple roles and in various divisions, including a stint in ITC, Nepal. During his tenure, he worked extensively with sales, manufacturing, and all other functions and led HR strategy for the business. He was Head of HR and Management Committee Member of ITC’s Printing and Packaging business before leaving in 2017. Thereafter, he worked with GE Healthcare as CHRO for over 4 years. He joined Wipro Ltd. in 2021 to lead the talent management function for the company.

Vishwas Agarwal has over 20 years of experience in FMCG and beverage sales. His last role was with SLMG Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Lucknow, where Agarwal was the Chief Growth Officer. Prior to SLMG, he spent over 12 years with HCCB in various roles, including GTM Sales, Modern Trade, and Future Consumption Vertical. He was Business Head, Telangana State, and prior to that, General Sales Manager, Bangalore. Before joining HCCB, he worked with companies like Akzo Noble and Mother Dairy, among others. He started his career in 2004 with Conagra India as a management trainee. He is a postgraduate in management from XLRI, Jamshedpur, and has also completed mechanical engineering from IIT BHU, Varanasi.
