Urvashi Saxena To Step Down As Independent Director Of Inox Wind

Urvashi Saxena has tendered her resignation as Independent Director of Inox Wind Limited, effective July 1, 2025. Saxena, who had joined the Board just two months ago, cited personal reasons related to health constraints associated with advancing age.

Saxena is a retired officer of the Indian Revenue Service who held several senior roles in the Income Tax Department across Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune. She was the first woman to be appointed Deputy Director of Investigation, overseeing income tax raids across the country, and later became the first woman to serve as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in Mumbai. Post-retirement, she joined the Income Tax Settlement Commission in Delhi, where she served as Vice Chairperson and subsequently as Chairperson. She holds a postgraduate degree from the University of Allahabad and a law degree from the University of Lucknow and has received several awards for her contributions.
