United Breweries Appoints Jorn Kersten as CFO & Nikhil Malpani as CS

On May 7, 2024, the Board of Directors of United Breweries Limited approved the appointment of Jorn Kersten as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of the company, with effect from August 1, 2024.

Furthermore, the Board of Directors has also approved the appointment of Nikhil Malpani as the Company Secretary (CS), Compliance Officer, and KMP with immediate effect.

Jorn Kersten joined Heineken in 2007 and has 17+ years of experience. Currently, he is the Finance Director of Ethiopia. Previously, he was Regional Business Control Manager for the American Region. He held various roles in the Heineken Netherlands before joining the American Region. In 2007, he completed his MSC in Economics and Management Control from the University of Amsterdam. He has also completed his Executive Master of Finance and Control from Nyenrode Business University.

Nikhil Malpani is an associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). Malpani has experience of around seventeen (17) years in the fields of corporate laws, corporate governance, board processes and compliances, etc. In the past, he was associated with companies like Reliance Industries, Cipla, Wockhardt, and Biocon Biologics. In his last assignment, he served Novartis India as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer.
