Uday Chitale And Alok Kumar Agarwal Have Ceased To Be Directors Of ICICI Lombard General Insurance
Uday Chitale, Non-Executive Independent Director of ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited, retired on October 20, 2024, as he reached the maximum age limit of 75. Meanwhile, Alok Kumar Agarwal, Executive Director of the company, has resigned to pursue an external opportunity with effect from October 18, 2024.
Uday Chitale is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and has over 45 years of experience. He was the Senior Partner at M/s M. P. Chitale & Co. till June 2021. He is accredited by CEDR (UK) and serves on the panels of several renowned arbitration organisations in India. He was a member of the ICICI Bank Board of Directors (1997-2005) as well as the DFK International Global Board. He also serves on the Board of Governors at NISM.
Alok Kumar Agarwal has been the Executive Director of ICICI Lombard General Insurance since January 2011. He started his career as an engineer at Reliance Industries in 1989 and later worked for ICICI’s project finance division for nine years. He currently leads ICICI Lombard’s Retail Group’s Emerging Markets business after previously leading the Wholesale Group for almost two decades. Agarwal has a Bachelor of Engineering from Jadavpur University and a Postgraduate degree in Management from IIM Kolkata.
