TVS Motor’s Independent Directors C R Dua & Hemant Krishan Singh have retired

C. R. Dua and Hemant Krishan Singh ceased as Independent Directors of TVS Motor Company Limited upon completion of their terms on July 13, 2024, and consequently ceased as members of various committees of the company.

C. R. Dua founded Dua Associates, Advocates & Solicitors over thirty years ago and currently serves as the firm’s Chairman. His expertise spans corporate and commercial matters, corporate finance, securities, infrastructure, public policy, administration, governance, and ethics. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care and serves as an Independent Director on several company Boards. He is a founding member of the American Chamber of Commerce in India and an invitee to its National Executive Board. He holds an honours degree from St. Stephen’s College and a master’s degree in economics from the Delhi School of Economics.

Hemant Krishan Singh served as India’s longest-serving Ambassador to Japan (2006–2010), Indonesia and Timor-Leste (2003–2006), Colombia, Ecuador, and Costa Rica (1999–2002), and as India’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva (1995–1999). He held significant assignments involving the United States, West Europe, the European Union, and India’s neighbouring countries. Since June 2016, Singh has been the Director General of the Delhi Policy Group, one of India’s oldest independent think tanks focusing on strategic and international issues of national importance. He holds an M.A. degree from the University of Delhi and served in the Indian Foreign Service from 1974–2010.
