Thomas Dohmke Resigns As GitHub CEO, Integration With Microsoft CoreAI Announced

Thomas Dohmke, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GitHub, will step down after nearly four years in the role, marking his exit from both GitHub and Microsoft.

Microsoft will not appoint a new CEO, instead merging GitHub into its CoreAI engineering division led by Jay Parikh, focusing on AI platforms and tools.

Dohmke has over 25 years of experience in the industry. He is the Founder of ToDoSoft (an IT solution company). Currently, he is serving as a Board Member of Spice AI. Previously, he held positions like Principal Director of PM at Microsoft, Co-Founder & CEO at Bit Stadium GmbH (software developer), Co-Founder & CEO at Codenauts GmbH, and Project Manager at Robert Bosch GmbH. Dohmke holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Glasgow.
