The India Cement Ltd appoints V. Manickam as Independent Director

Sri V. Manickam has been appointed as a Non-executive Independent Director of the Company for his first term of three consecutive years, starting from June 24th, 2023. Having served for over thirty years in the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), he is a Chartered Accountant. During his tenure at LIC, he held various positions, including Executive Director (Investment Monitoring and Accounting) and retired as Managing Director and CEO of the LIC Pension Fund. After retirement, he served as the Secretary General of the Life Insurance Council. Additionally, Sri V. Manickam held the position of an Independent Director on the Board of E.I.D. Parry (India) Limited for two consecutive terms between 2014 and 2022.

Previously, Sri V. Manickam had a long association with the Company, serving as LIC’s Nominee Director from October 2008 to September 2012 and subsequently served as an Independent Director for two terms until August 2018.

Meanwhile, Krishna Prasad Nair has tendered his resignation as an Independent Director at The India Cements Limited, effective from June 23, 2023.
