Tetra Pak appoints Cassio Simões as MD, South Asia

Tetra Pak, the food processing, and packaging solutions company, has appointed Cassio Simões as the new Managing Director for the South Asia market. Effective June 1, 2023, Simões will succeed Ashutosh Manohar, who is retiring after a 20-year tenure at Tetra Pak.

With a diverse background at Tetra Pak, including his most recent role as the managing director for Tetra Pak Andina, Simões brings a wealth of experience to his new position. Over the past two decades, he has held various roles across different businesses within the company.

As the new Managing Director, Simões will play a key role in driving growth and expansion for Tetra Pak in the South Asia region, encompassing India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. South Asia is a strategically important market for Tetra Pak, which has had a manufacturing presence in Chakan, Pune (Maharashtra) for over 35 years. Simões will be based out of the Chakan facility in his new role.

Tetra Pak is known globally for providing packaging solutions to major food and beverage companies, including those in India. Simões expressed confidence in the company’s ability to meet the evolving needs of the industry, emphasising the commitment to delivering world-class quality from the heart of India. He believes Tetra Pak will continue to strengthen its position as the preferred partner for customers in the region.
