TCS’ COO and ED Ganapathy Subramaniam Retired

The term of N. Ganapathy Subramaniam, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director (COO & ED) of Tata Consultancy Services Limited, ended on May 19, 2024. Accordingly, he ceased to be the COO and ED of the company with effect from May 20, 2024.

Ganapathy Subramaniam has been the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of TCS since February 2017. He has also served as an Additional Director and Chairman of Tata Elxsi Limited since November 2014 and as an Additional Director (Non-Independent, Non-Executive) of Tata Communications Limited since December 2021. Before assuming his current role as COO, he was the Executive Vice President and Head of TCS Financial Solutions, where he led non-linear growth strategies and managed TCS’s Products and Platform businesses for over five years. He has held several key leadership roles at TCS, including Head of Banking and Financial Services, where he played a pivotal role in consolidating TCS’s knowledge base and developing domain-centric offerings.

Ganapathy joined TCS in 1982 after completing his Master’s in Mathematics from the University of Madras.
