Tata Communications Appoints Sangeeta Anand As Independent Director

The Board of Directors of Tata Communications Limited has approved the appointment of Sangeeta Anand as an Additional Director (Independent) on the Board of the company for a term of three years from September 5, 2024. Subject to the approval of the shareholders of the company.

Sangeeta Anand is an Independent Director on the Boards of public and private companies and an investor and advisor in technology startups. She is on the Board of The Sage Group and is a member of the Audit & Risk Committee. She is also an independent Director on the Board of Direktiv.IO. She has more than 25 years of experience.

She has held senior management roles, including Senior Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at F5 Inc., General Manager and Corporate Vice President at SafeNet, and Chief Marketing Officer at Alkira Inc. During her 13 years at Cisco Systems, she held two VP roles. She began her career in India with the Tata Group as a member of the Tata Administrative Service (TAS). She holds two MBA degrees, one from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and another from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management in Pune, India. She has completed a Board Director program at Harvard Business School and an executive education course on artificial intelligence at the University of California, Berkeley.
