The ministries of women and child development and labour and employment are told to be working closely with Niti Ayog on a plan to boost the participation of women in the national workforce.

BVR Subrahmanyam has been appointed as the new CEO of Niti Aayog, succeeding Parameswaran Iyer. His appointment has been approved by the Cabinet Committee on Appointments and will be effective for two years.
