T.V. Narendran Succeeds Suneeta Reddy As AIMA President

T.V. Narendran, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) of Tata Steel, has taken over as President of the All India Management Association (AIMA), the apex body of India’s management community. He will serve as AIMA President until September 2026.

Narendran succeeds Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director (MD) of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd., who completed her one-year term on September 10, 2025.

Narendran has led both organic and inorganic growth initiatives over recent years. With more than 36 years of experience in the mining and metals industry, he also serves as Chairman of Tata Steel Europe and is on the Boards of Tata Steel Ltd. and Tata International Ltd. He is the Chairman of the World Steel Association (2024–25) and has held leadership roles with CII, the Indian Institute of Metals, and the World Economic Forum. He chairs the Boards of XLRI and IIT Kharagpur and is on the Council of IISc, Bangalore. Narendran is a mechanical engineer from NIT Trichy and has earned an MBA from IIM Calcutta and is a Chevening Scholar.

Reddy is a member of the founding family of Apollo Hospitals, and she has been with the group since 1989 and has played a central role in shaping its growth and strategy. She also serves on the Boards of several Apollo Group companies. She was instrumental in bringing the first FDI into Indian healthcare and later led Apollo’s entry into international equity markets with a successful GDR. She has overseen multiple Greenfield and Brownfield projects and is now steering Apollo’s transformation into a digitally enabled healthcare organisation.
