Swiggy Co-Founder Nandan Reddy Steps Down

Swiggy said Co-Founder Nandan Reddy has resigned with immediate effect, marking another exit from its founding team.

The company has also made Board changes, appointing Phani Kishan as an Additional Director and adding group CFO Rahul Bothra to the Board. In addition, Renan De Castro Alves Pinto has joined as a Nominee Director representing Prosus Ventures.

Reddy had worked on early operations alongside Sriharsha Majety and co-founded the company with Majety and Rahul Jaimini, who left in 2020. Reddy recently led the company’s AI-based concierge service, with interim oversight expected to be handled by Vice President (VP) Aakash Bhotika.

During his time at BITS Pilani, Reddy developed an interest in technology-led business models and logistics systems. This background influenced his later work in startups and e-commerce, including his role in building Swiggy’s early operations and expansion. After completing his education, Reddy started a travel venture called Gifting Inc., which focused on customised itineraries and travel planning. The venture did not scale, but it provided him with experience in building consumer-focused businesses and understanding market challenges.
