Swaminathan Janakiraman resigns from all his positions at SBI

State Bank Of India’s one of the Board Member Swaminathan Janakiraman has resigned from all his post on 26th June 2023. He has resigned from SBI as he has been appointed as the Dy Governor of RBI.

Janakiraman is Carrier Banker specialising in Retail and  International Banking, Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, Correspondent Banking & FI products, Digital Banking & Transaction Banking products. He handled the bank’s finance operation, which included budgeting and performance monitoring, capital planning, and investor relations. SBI Nominee Director on the Boards of Yes Bank, Jio Payments Bank, and NPCI, as well as Bank of Bhutan, an SBI joint venture. As the head of the Subsidiaries vertical. He is currently the bank’s nominee director on numerous non-banking subsidiaries such as Mutual Funds, Insurance, Investment Banking, Broking, Pension Funds, Private Equity, and so on. He graduated with honors from the University of Madras.
