Sunil Narke Appointed as CEO – Forgings Division of CIE Automotive India

The Board of Directors of CIE Automotive India has approved the appointment of Sunil Narke as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Forgings Division, with effect from April 1, 2024. He replaced Hari Krishnan, who had tendered his resignation for personal reasons, with effect from March 31, 2024.

Sunil Narke, 49, has extensive experience spanning 26 years within the automotive sector in India and Europe. He has extensive experience across key functions, including industrial and process engineering, plant operations, business development, and technology transfer from Europe. Narke joined CIE Automotive India (CIE India) as ‘Vice President Operations & Special Projects’ for ‘CIE Forging, Chakan’ in 2018. He became ‘Chief Operating Officer’ of ‘CIE Forging, Chakan’ in 2019. Prior to joining Sunil worked with Anand Group, Raymonds, TI Murugappa, and Mahindra & Mahindra. As CEO, he will be responsible for the business and operations of all forging technology plants of the company in India, situated in Pune, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Haridwar, and Hosur. He holds an engineering degree in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering and Technology, Pune University. He has also done the ‘Visionary Leaders for Manufacturing’ (VLFM) programme from Japan and the prestigious ‘Oxford Advanced Management and Leadership Programme’ (OAMLP) from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.
