Sumita Pandit Takes the Reins as CFO at Radian Group Inc

Radian Group Inc. has announced the appointment of Sumita Pandit as its Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. Pandit takes over from J. Franklin Hall, who held the position until December 2022. Previously serving as Radian’s Chief Growth Officer since March 2023, Pandit worked closely with CEO Rick Thornberry and the executive team to develop and execute the company’s long-term growth plans. In her new role as CFO, Pandit will not only continue her strategic and business development responsibilities but also oversee Radian’s financial functions, including reporting, planning, investment management, investor relations, and tax matters. Thornberry expressed his confidence in Pandit’s expertise, emphasising her extensive experience in financial markets and investment banking, as well as her ability to drive business growth. With a strong background in advising fintech companies, Pandit brings a wealth of knowledge to her new position. She holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and serves as a board member at Pushpay. Pandit expressed her enthusiasm for joining Radian and contributing to the company’s strategic goals in the mortgage and real estate services markets.
