Sumeet Nagar Appointed As Managing Director Of BlackRock

BlackRock has appointed Sumeet Nagar as Managing Director (MD) with effect from January 2026. He will focus on scaling and transforming post-trade and investment operations across the firm.

Nagar has spent more than 13 years at BlackRock, where he has held roles including Vice President and Director. During this period, he led global engineering teams for investment operations and managed Asia-Pacific trade operations from India. Before joining BlackRock, Nagar worked at Headstrong HR Consulting Services, supporting clients such as UBS Investment Bank, Wachovia Capital Markets, and Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. He has over 21 years of experience across post-trade operations, securities and derivatives processing, clearing and settlement, and operational risk management. He began his career at Geometric Software Solution, a joint venture with Dassault Systèmes.
