Sujit Pattanaik & Sumit Rathor Appointed As Directors At Timken India; Dr Lakshmi Lingam Reappointed

Sujit Kumar Pattanaik has been appointed as a Whole-Time Director of Timken India Limited with effect from September 30, 2025.

Sumit Rathor has been appointed as an Independent Director of the company with effect from October 1, 2025.

Dr Lakshmi Lingam has been reappointed as an Independent Director of the company with effect from October 1, 2025.

Pattanaik is a member of the Timken India leadership team and serves as Business Controller – India and Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for overseeing financial controlling activities across Timken’s India operations. Mr. Pattanaik joined Timken in September 2010 as Manager – Accounts and has since held roles across finance, accounts, plant controllership, compliance, SEZ regulations, IT systems, listed entity requirements, and tax implementations. He has contributed to several strategic and system-related projects. Before Timken, he worked at Visteon as Assistant Manager – Internal Controls for Asia Pacific and at Areva T&D as Manager – Internal Audit. Pattanaik holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Rathor is an entrepreneur with experience in managing and building business ventures in India and abroad. His interests include fitness, outdoor furniture, and beverage manufacturing. He is the Founder and Director of Sumit Rathor Consulting Private Limited, a company focused on marketing, branding, and business development. He has expertise in sales, marketing, business strategy, and systems. In addition to his business pursuits, he is an active golfer and has represented various clubs at national and international tournaments. Rathor holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a postgraduate diploma in marketing. His work reflects a consistent focus on expanding business operations across sectors and developing effective market-driven strategies.

Dr Lingam has 37 years of experience in teaching, research, consultancy, and advocacy in the areas of women’s rights and human rights. She served as Dean and Professor at the School of Media and Cultural Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. At TISS, she contributed to the fields of social sciences, interventions, and public policy in the social sector. Dr. Lingam has led several research projects in public health, many of which were supported by the Government of India. Her work has been published in both Indian and international journals. She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce, a master’s degree in sociology, and a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
